about
This double disc set of 17 tracks with well over 2 hours of music is the direct result of an integral awakening process that was originally set into motion by the discovery of evolutionary spirituality and the empowering perspectives found therein. Each piece is a reflection of a stage of development, and unlike most new age music which seems geared to soothe, Eric Geoffrey's Biophilia acts as a series of signposts along the way of an ever unfolding awakening process. Every composition was born as a reflection of the challenges, insights, triumphs, trials, contemplations and celebrations to be found through a path of authentic growth. It is therefore perfect music for certain types of meditation, yoga, reiki, creative and therapeutic dance, massage, retreat, reflection, contemplation, and the general stimulation of your consciousness.

Utilizing a curious mixture of instruments old and new, organic and synthetic, acoustic and electric, Eric Geoffrey’s Biophile Music is a sublime expression of translucent awakening which entices the listener to similar resonant experiences. Blending sounds from numerous cultures and various ages creates a celebratory affirmation of human potential intended to uplift our spirits and comfort our souls, while the magic of modern technology enables one person to sound like an entire ensemble when performed live. The end result is an experience of empowering perspective, loving connectedness, and resounding peacefulness.

“Anything that slows down the world is of worth.” ~ John Lennon

Biophile music exists within a different sense of time than our contemporary existence does. It unfolds in a fashion more akin to how green things grow, how cells divide, and how continents move. It is an opportunity, maybe even a challenge, to slow down and appreciate the rhythms of organically unfolding life. It is a series of love poems in sound. It is the sound of the evolutionary impulse to create. And like any growing thing, it begins to unfold slowly, but if you allow yourself to engage your full senses and appreciate its dynamic process, it is full of surprises and is most fulfilling at it’s fruition.

I have a sense from the depths of my heart that the real purpose of life is to celebrate it, and this music was born directly from that spirit of awakening grandeur and possibility. It is my sincere hope that by listening to these offerings that you too are encouraged further along your path of awakening towards a brighter future for us all.

This album is lovingly dedicated to the most inspiring memory of Thomas Berry and the living legacy he has left us.
